Don't do it!! You could do it, but why would you ever use canned Sloppy Joe mix when you can very easily make this sweet, savory, tangy, spicy, smokey and incredibly delicious Sloppy Joe sauce yourself? It's has all the layers of flavor that are certain to please everyone in the family or guests at your next cookout. No need to take my word for it, give it a try and thank me later!
Well, grilling season is officially upon us! If you are anything like me, you love grilling, but the same old sauces, as good as they are, get old and mundane. Please let me introduce you to Peri-Peri sauce! While originally from Portugal it's now a South African staple. While traditionally made with African Bird's Eye Peppers, those are a little hard to find here in Virginia. If only there was an amazing substitute for those hard to find peppers?? As if I needed another reason to be thankful for Papa's Pepper, it's like it's made specifically for this Peri-Peri sauce! Don't believe me? Try it for yourself and you'll be a believer as well!
It's a fact, I'm a mushroom junkie, in the best possible way. They are so delicious, a perfect meat substitute and so versatile! Combined that with my love for stuffing things and that's how I ended up creating the spicy stuffed shrooms. They are so savory, creamy, cheesey, hearty and spicy, it's everything you wanted but didn't know you needed! They are great as an appetizer, side, or even just a delicious snack!
This is by far one of my favorite pasta dishes to create because it's like magic! Adding that wonderfully starchy and salty pasta water and watching the creamy, ooey-gooey, delicious sauce form right before your eyes is like culinary magic!
I love good sushi, I really do. There are virtually endless flavor combinations that explode with flavor in one glorious bite. That being said, rolling sushi is definitely a skill that I definitely do not have! That's what inspired me to create my Papa's Pepper Shrimp Sushi Stack. It's got all the flavor and texture without having to roll a thing!
